As a longtime Olivine fan, I am writing this as my plea to make Amber Moon a permanent part of the collection. Amber Moon beautifully balances freshness and warmth. It's not overly floral, gourmand, or heavy...truly, it's beautifully balanced, absolute perfection. The jasmine and saffron open the fragrance with a hint of florals, but the saffron really steals the show here. It's such a unique note in perfumery (and arguably one of my favorites) for it's ability to lean both cool and fresh, but also warm and sultry. As the fragrance develops, the brown sugar and amber come into the light, and while those notes can often lean very gourmand in a scent, they function almost like a sexy musky skin scent, yet creamier and cozier. Oakmoss is present throughout, giving this perfume a very grounded 'realness'. If Amber Moon were a piece of clothing, it would be like Marilyn's giant bow on the back of her dress in Diamond's Are A Girl's Best Friend - but in red silk. It's a true statement making scent. Amber Moon is for people who wanted to love BR540 but found it too medicinal leaning; enough of the same notes to make it familiar, but this is way sexier. I'll be stocking up at the next drop in case this doesn't become permanent...I can't be without it!!!
